A labor of love is something that you do because you love to do it.

Example: "You don't mind taking care of that dog?" Reply: "It is a labor of love."



A labor of love is what you do for a person or for a cause that you love.

Example: "Taking care of this baby is a labor of love."

Example: "She spent most of her life working with the poor. It was a labor of love."



Your actions are guided by love when you are performing a labor of love.

Example: "Once a week I take my grandmother shopping. It is a labor of love."
