A vote of confidence is an action to show the other person you believe she has strong skills.

Example: "I thought you would like to lead the meeting tomorrow." Reply: "Thank you for the vote of confidence."

Example: "Adam, you do a good job cooking dinner." Reply: "Thank you for the vote of confidence."
